No more troublesome stains – check how to wash children’s clothes

Stains on children’s clothes are a common problem for many moms. Unfortunately, many stain removers available in stores cannot remove stains from carrots or dessert from a jar.

Home methods for removing stains from baby’s clothes

Chemical agents for stain removal from baby clothes are not always effective. That is why, before putting them in the washing machine, it is worth trying home methods for removing stains from the baby’s clothes.

Carrot stains

Carrot stains are the most common on children’s clothes. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to get rid of them. When the carrot stain is fresh, it is best to rub it very hard with grey soap and soak in cold water. After 3-4 hours of soaking, the clothes should be washed in a washing machine with the addition of detergent. If the carrot stain is old, it should be moistened and then rubbed with grey soap and left in cold water for at least 12 hours.

The carrot stain can also be cured with butter. Just rub the stain with butter and leave it for a while. Then, wash the garment in dishwashing liquid and later, wash it in a washing machine with the addition of detergent.

Fruit stains

Most of the fruit and fruit juice stains disappear right away. However, some fruit stains can be difficult to remove if they are not washed right away. Soak the fruit stain in cold water right away. If the stain gets dry, you can soak it in a dishwashing liquid and leave it for 1 hour, then wash it in a washing machine with detergent.

Fruit stains can be removed using lemon juice or white vinegar. Just rub the product into the stain and leave it for about 1h, then wash it in the washing machine.

Banana stains

For banana stains, shaving foam is best. Just apply the foam on the stain and leave it for a few moments, then put the clothes in the washing machine and wash them

Chocolate stains

To effectively remove a chocolate stain, prepare a special solution. Dissolve one teaspoon of gray soap in one cup of warm water, then rub it into the stain and leave it for at least 30 minutes. The soap softens the stain, so it will be removed in the wash.

Urine stains

When the stain is fresh, all you need to do is to wash the clothes. If the urine stain is dry, soak it in the solution of water and vinegar (ratio 1:1).

Grass stains

Every mom knows that grass stains are among the most difficult to remove. However, you can remove grass from the clothes using alcohol or water with ammonia (ratio 1:2). Just rub the stain and leave it for about 30 minutes. Then wash it in the washing machine.

The grass stain can also be removed with shaving foam. Apply the foam on the stain and leave it for about 30 minutes. Then put it in the washing machine and wash it with detergent.

Stains from markers

Markers are the bane of many moms. To remove such a stain, dissolve potato flour in cold water. Then apply the solution on the stain and let it dry.

Vomit stains

Vomit stains are very difficult to remove, so you should not wait for them to dry. Wet the vomit stain with dishwashing liquid and leave it for about 1 hour. Then wash it in the washing machine.

Greasy stains

The best solution for greasy stains is the dishwashing liquid. Pour the dishwashing liquid on the stain and leave it for few moments. Then rinse in warm water and wash in detergent.

Baking powder also removes greasy stains. Sprinkle the powder on the stain and rub it with a damp sponge. Leave it for a few moments and then wash it.

Blood stains

The best way to treat blood stains is to soak the stain in cold water, then sprinkle it with salt and let it stand for about 1 hour

If the blood stain is very stubborn, it’s a good idea to apply a solution of corn flour and water (1:1 ratio) on it and leave it for a few moments. Then wash it in the washing machine with detergent.

Staining children’s clothes is not difficult. All you need is a few clever household tricks to get rid of the stains.
